Meet the Teacher
Hi! I'm Julia!
I’ve been playing the piano for 16+ years, and have 2+ years of music teaching experience. I’ve also studied french horn and vocal technique along with music theory, aural skills, and other musical topics at the collegiate level.
As a teacher, my strengths are in working with beginners. I find it easy to guide new musicians in understanding new concepts and building them up from the basics. I’m a people person, so I'm great at working with young children as well as older kids and adults.

Making Learning Fun
I believe that learning music is unique to every person. That's why my students get to set their own pace and make choices based on what makes music fun for them. We do this by supplementing the basic lesson books with other materials and activities based on student preferences.
Become a Great Musician!
Piano lessons aren’t just about learning to play the piano – it’s about becoming a musician, and having fun while learning to express yourself through music!
My students will not only learn to read and play, they will also receive foundational instruction in music theory, aural perception, improvisation, and composition from the very beginning because these are the tools musicians use to communicate feelings and ideas in their music.
